True Honesty

I was checking out at the grocery store, and I overhear a child ask his mother,"Mom why is that lady so fat?", she answers the only way she can with, "well, she ate too much sweety." I not only started to laugh internally really hard, but also thought to myself how honest children are. What if the world revolved around that type of honesty? I mean it would seem to me that government would almost cease to function. But is this the big thing that separates children and adult? That adults are much better at being passive, and try not to pay attention to it. Or, is it that the more we evolve and grow in this world of fast paced technology, of lights, camera, action we just think about things for shorter amounts of time? Due to technology being all around us and having global communications at an all time high in the history of the human race, do we see that people are beginning to be able to pay attention less than before concerning one specific detail? I write this trying to pay attention to the details around me continuously... I have to say though I do enjoy the true honesty of a child. Straight to the point, states the obvious and doesn't care what someone thinks what they said. It is true that at times to be courteous one must be passive, but then again maybe the honest, harsh truth will actually bring a revelation to the person. Honesty hits, and hits hard, can you handle it?
